We stayed in Queenstown for a few days for my 21st birthday, and we had heaps of great food (more posts to come!) and awesome experiences there.
Everyone says “make sure you go to Fergburger!”. There’s a lot of hype over FergBurger, but the locals recommended that we try Devil Burger instead. So we went to Devil Burger, and we were so glad that we did. We enjoyed Devil Burger more than Fergburger.
I ordered a venison burger called the Dark Knight, it is made with prime NZ Venison, kumara rosti, grilled mushrooms, plum relish, lettuce, tomato, red onion and aioli. A very delicious burger, it was one of the best burgers I have had. The venison was cooked to perfection, the burger buns were toasted nicely but still spongy on the inside to soak up the venison juice mmm… The lettuce and tomato in the burger was crunchy and fresh, and I can’t forget to mention the sauce, it was beautiful.
Another highlight of Devil burger was the bowl of Curry Fries. It is simple in concept, some freshly fried chips smothered in a Japanese curry sauce, but the combination is to die for. Make sure you get an order of these if you visit Devil Burger.
This beautiful lakefront is located just a minute walk away from Devil Burger. Grab a burger and enjoy this beautiful view, oh and don’t forget the curry fries!
